Excellent :)  I am slowly persuading the soon-to-be-wife that I need at least an acre for plants/animals etc.

Fishing is an excellent idea...  I have at least 90 days before I get my temporary green card once I'm married, so I will have LOTS of time to kill - no offence to my future parents-in-law but I DON'T intend on staying at their house much!  Must work out how to ship my fishing rods :/

I think your fella will be surprised that there aren't any big carp lakes or fisheries that I know of.  I will do some research once I'm "in country" anyway.

Keep in touch and my regards to your fella! :)

David.

Ooh not long then...wish we could be over sooner, we were on holiday there in May and didn't want to come home! lol We'll be based round Peru/Huntington, ideally Peru as that's where my Dad lives, but my Grandparents are in Huntington...been looking at house prices and can't believe how cheap they are!!  Will be such a nice lifestyle for my kids, as we don't even have a garden over here and will be aiming to have at least an acre stateside...my hubby's only fears are jobwise and whether fishing will be any good...lol

Hi Louise :) Well I'll be over in Hoosierland in around 5 weeks or so.. July 29th.  I know about leaving my family behind as I'm the Brit who's moving to be with a Hoosier ;)  Where abouts are you guys going to be based?

My lady lives up in Schererville which is about 2 miles from the border with Illinois up near Chicago.  Handy for O'hare but if I had a choice I'd prefer to live somewhere south or out in the prairie ;)

I'm trying to drum up some more members for this little group on here but so far  you're the only one.  ;)

David.
